Audio Mastering

Mastering is the vital last step before your music is manufactured to it’s final format such as Vinyl, CD, DVD or Digital downloads like Wav, Flac, MP3 and the like. It’s the last step that makes your audio sound as good as it possibly can sound.

With smaller recording budgets and more mixing being done in less than ideal surroundings, professional mastering is more crucial than ever.

High end equipment and loads of experience allow me to professionally master your audio of any type and music style.

Dealing with clients from around the world from major labels to independent labels and even self releases and demos, I strive to give you the best result possible at highly competitive rates.

Delivery Requirements:

Ensure that NO effects are used on the master bus. If you have creative effects on the master bus, please discuss with me beforehand. There should be absolutely no compressors or limiters in the master chain. This includes the Mastering Combinator Suite in Reason and the default limiter in Fruity Loops.

The final mix audio export must not clip and you should allow at least 3dB of headroom. This means the gap between your audio’s peak level and the 0dB mark on your master channel, so your final mix down should peak at an absolute maximum of -3dB.

The final exported audio must be either a WAV or AIFF file at no less than 24 bit 44.1khz. A higher sample rate such as 48khz is even better. No MP3 or any other other lossy audio will be accepted for mastering purposes.

Dither should not be applied either, this is best left to the mastering engineer.
